Care
Cleaning & Maintenance Guidelines for Lightning-Struck Jujube Wood Ornaments
Proper daily maintenance effectively preserves the natural texture, luster, and durability of lightning-struck jujube wood ornaments. Please follow the official care instructions below.
1. Daily Cleaning
Never clean the wood surface with wet towels. For daily dust removal, gently wipe with a clean pure cotton cloth or feather duster. You may also use wax or oil-treated cotton cloths to maintain the wood’s natural gloss and texture.
2. Regular Oil Maintenance & Polishing
If the ornament becomes dull or loses luster, evenly apply a thin layer of natural walnut oil or olive oil with a soft brush. After coating, gently polish with a clean cotton cloth for a smooth and refreshed finish.
Standard Maintenance Cycle
· Ventilate the product every 1–2 weeks
· Perform oil maintenance every 1–2 months
· Wipe excess oil immediately after application to avoid grease buildup and dust adhesion
3. Sunlight Avoidance
Do not expose the ornament to long-term or direct strong sunlight. Intense sunlight will cause drying, fading, cracking, and texture damage. Avoid placing it near sunny windows.
4. Keep Away from High Heat & Fire
Keep the ornament far from open flames, stoves, heating equipment, and high-temperature surfaces. Do not place it directly in front of air conditioners or heating vents, as rapid temperature changes will damage the wood structure.
5. Humidity & Dryness Protection
Extremely humid or overly dry environments will harm wooden ornaments. High humidity may cause mold growth; overly dry air will lead to cracking and deformation.
6. Daily Storage
When not in use, store the ornament in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area. Routine maintenance effectively prevents mold, cracks, and texture damage, keeping the ornament in optimal condition long-term.
